Interac Flash® is a contactless solution that allows members to pay for everyday purchases quickly, securely and conveniently by tapping their card on any compatible payment terminal.
MemberCard® debit card is a great alternative to carrying cash and allows you to access your accounts 24/7 and across a worldwide network. Pay for your purchases at point-of-sale terminals, and withdraw funds from ATMs in Canada, the United States and around the world.
How does it work?
When will I receive my new card?
We will be replacing all our active MemberCard® debit card by end of 2020. If you have not yet received your card, please reach out to us at email@example.com.
Unfortunately, any previous Moya MemberCard® debit card issued to you will no longer work after December 31, 2020, so it’s important that you activate your new card immediately and destroy your old card.
What do I do when I receive my new card?
- Sign the back of your new card.
- Activate your new card by making a transaction at any ATM or an in-store purchase by inserting your card into the terminal and using your current PIN. After this first transaction, your card's tap function will be activated.
- Destroy your old card.
One Time Spending Limit
A single transaction cannot exceed $100. If your purchase is above this limit, you will be prompted to insert your card and enter your PIN. There is a cumulative spending limit of $200, and when the limit is reached, you will also be asked to insert your card and enter their PIN. This limit is reset every time you enter your PIN.

Interac Flash is a safe and convenient optional feature that can be enabled or disabled any time. You can choose to use this feature, or you can insert/swipe your card and enter your PIN as you did before. If you would like, this function can be turned off on your card. Please call 416-255-1742 and speak with one of our Member Service Representatives.
Moya MemberCard® debit card and the Exchange Network® ATM
Members have access to THE EXCHANGE® and ACCULINK® Networks, a network of “ding-free”, full-service ATMs across the country. Some major banks, as well as several credit unions, participate in the same network, meaning you can use their ATMs at no additional cost.

Interac Flash® FAQs
How do I get an Interac Flash® Debit Card?
There are a few different ways you can get a contactless debit card. If you need a replacement right away, you can make in branch appointment. If you're not in a rush, you can always order one through by calling 416-255-1724 and you'll receive it in the mail in about a week.
Are there spending limits for this feature?
Yes. For your protection there is a transaction limit of up to $100 per purchase made using Interac Flash®. If your purchase is above this limit, you will be prompted to insert your Alterna Debit Card and enter your PIN.
As an added layer of protection, there is also a cumulative spend limit of $200 for Interac Flash® transactions. This is the sum of all contactless transactions made with your card since the last time you entered your PIN. When this limit is reached, you will be asked to insert your MemberCard® debit card and enter your PIN. This will reset your limit so you can continue to use Interac Flash®.
Will I need to use a PIN?
The first time that you pay for a purchase with your MemberCard® debit card card using Interac Flash® you will be prompted to enter your PIN. This will start the start the counter at $0 for the $200 limit.
If the amount of your purchase exceeds the Interac Flash® transaction limit for that particular merchant, then you’ll be prompted by the payment terminal to insert your card and enter your PIN. You’ll also be asked to insert your card and enter your PIN once your cumulative spend limit of $200 is reached.
Is it secure?
Yes! Interac Flash® uses secure chip processing to protect against skimming, counterfeiting and electronic pick-pocketing. Interac Flash® also uses RF (Radio Frequency) enabled smartcard technology, which is more secure than RFID (typically used for inventory management).
These features, along with the Flash® limits and the need to enter your PIN when the limits are reached make this a very secure solution. Additionally, transactions are covered by Interac Zero Liability, which protects you against unauthorized activity on your accounts.
Do I have to use the Interac Flash® feature on my Debit Card?
The great thing is you’ll have your choice! Interac Flash® is a safe and convenient optional feature that can be enabled or disabled any time. You can choose to use this feature, or you can insert/swipe your card, and enter your PIN as you did before.
Will I be able to use the Interac Flash® service outside of Canada?
Interac Flash® technology is only supported at participating Canadian debit card merchants. Outside Canada use your MemberCard® debit card to pay:
- In the US at merchants who participate in the Maestro network.
- Internationally at merchants who participate in the Maestro network.
Lost or stolen MemberCard®?
You have two methods to cancel your MemberCard if you suspect it has been compromised, lost, or stolen:
- During business hours, contact Moya Financial.
- After hours, contact Everlink support at 1-888-277-1043.
We recommend writing your MemberCard number down and keeping it in a safe place as you must provide it to disable your card.
