The Button Akordion Rocks Slovenian Cultural Club is a not for profit organization registered in the province of Ontario. We organize cultural-based, family oriented musical events such as concerts, exhibitions, seminars and competitions centered around the accordion. For over 60 years members & guests have gathered for banquets, luncheons, picnics, & other special events. We are famous for our strudel. Plamen

The vocal group Plamen started in 1991 when four girls of Slovenian descent wished to learn the traditional songs of their heritage. In 28 years Plamen grew from those humble beginnings into the polished amateur choir under the leadership of choir director Marija Ahačič Pollak. Some of Plamen’s most notable accomplishments are: being featured on Slovenian, Canadian and Austrian television; independently recording two compact discs; completing numerous tours in Canada and Slovenia.
