Getting started is easy

Stop by a branch and introduce yourself! Or better still, book an appointment in advance so we’re ready to set up your account when you get to the branch.

We want to get to know you. Bring your Social Insurance Number; one piece of federal or provincial government-issued photo identification: Ontario photo identification card (such as a driver’s licence), passport, Nexus card, certificate of Canadian citizenship, or Permanent Resident card*; plus business identification according to business type.

*Originals only – no copies/images.

Sole Proprietor

  • Business License or Professional Practice License and HST registration (if applicable – i.e., services provided over $30,000 annually);
  • Personal identification including full legal name(s) and home address(es) of the sole proprietor.

Partnership

  • Business License or Professional Practice License and HST registration (if applicable – i.e., services provided over $30,000 annually);
  • Partnership Agreement;
  • Personal identification including full legal name(s) and home address(es) for each partner/signing officer.

Association

  • Constitution including names and titles of signing officers;
  • Personal identification including full legal name(s) and home address(es) for each signing officer.

Corporations

  • Personal identification including full legal name(s) and home address(es) for each signing officer;
  • Articles of Incorporation;
  • Beneficial Ownership Declaration for each owner holding 25% or more of corporation’s shares;
  • Full legal name of any Directors;
  • CRA registration number;
  • If franchise, franchise agreement;
  • Trade names and registrations.
